ICAR specialist takes part in UNITED network conference in Republic of Macedonia

UNITED network conference “Living Together: Transform a divided past into our common future“ took place between 26 – 31 October 2016 near Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia. The event has been organised with the financial support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The conference was attended by more than 75 representatives of civil society organisations from 25 countries belonging to the European-wide UNITED network. The main topic of discussion was reconciliation with particular focus on the role that civil society can play in the process of preventing and overcoming conflicts. The event was an excellent opportunity for learning, experience and ideas exchange, intercultural dialogue. Check the program here.

ICAR Foundation was represented by our colleague, psychologist Oana Redinciuc, who talked about ICAR’s activities. Also, she made a presentation of the project ‘Harmonisation in professional development standards in psycho-trauma intervention through Swiss-Romanian cooperation’, co-financed by a grant offered by Switzerland to Romania through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union.
